Description: |
A historic flood event at Cumberland Gap NHP (CUGA) in 2011 resulted in significant damage to park trails. The Sugar Run and Ridge trails, both very popular and scenic high use trails, were severely impacted by this event. To this day portions of CUGA trails are still in varying states of disrepair resulting in continued erosion issues and in some cases lower visitor satisfaction. This project will repair significantly impacted sections of both the Sugar Run and Ridge Trails. |
