Description: This is a Notice of Intent (NOI) to award a non-competitive Task Agreement under the Gulf Coast, Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) Master Cooperative Agreement (P12AC51051) in accordance with Department of Interior, 505 Departmental Manual 2.12C. The purpose of this project is to continue to cooperatively assess current site conditions and stabilities of significant archeological sites within Canaveral National Seashore (CANA) undergoing coastal erosion caused by storms, high water events and boat wakes; use best techniques for low-cost and low-impact site protection and stabilization; and for viable sites, construct a soft-armor living shoreline to protect sites. This is a continuation of a current award for on-going, urgent shoreline stabilization work with the University of Central Florida. UCF are experts in living shoreline stabilization with over ten years of successful experience in CANA. Please see attached Full Announcement for more information.
