Description: |
This grant is to provide funds to enable the Pueblo of Acoma (PA) to participate in the Navajo-Gallup Water Supply Project (NGWSP) as specified in the Programmatic Agreement signed in 2011. The Pueblo of Acoma shall designate a Point of Contact (POC) who will review cultural resource compliance documents produced as part of the NGWSP. The Pueblo of Acoma will submit any comments or concerns regarding the POC’s reviews of the above documents to Reclamation as part of their participation in NGWSP. Work to be completed includes: 1. Review of all new Cultural Resource Management (CRM) reports by the Pueblo of Acoma’s technical staff and Historic preservation Office (HPO) Board Members submitted during FY 2016, FY 2017, FY 2018, and FY 2019; 2. Support for the Pueblo of Acoma’s participation in PA Workgroup meetings and follow-up consultation with HPO Board Members during FY 2016, FY 2017, FY 2018, and FY 2019. 3. Formal review of the catalogue of the existing inventory of nearly three dozen major archaeological CRM documents by the Pueblo’s technical staff and HPO Board Members (FY 2016 only); and 4. Completion of Rapid Ethnographic Assessments for the 13 reaches scheduled to begin construction during the latter part of FY 2016. Modification 001 adds three tasks: 1. Rapid ethnographic assessment training (REAT) for Pueblo of Acoma, safety training, and REAT for Reach 22B Phase II REA Na baama investigations. 2. Reach 22B rapid ethnographic assessment (REA) phase II fieldwork, and Reach 22B Na baama inadvertent discovery. 3. Reach 22B Na baama reports to Acoma Historic Preservation Office. |
