Description: |
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) mission in Haiti is issuing this Funding Opportunity to solicit technical applications for the project entitled Health Service Delivery. The overall purpose of the four-year integrated Health Service Delivery (HSD) project is to improve the health status of communities across Haiti. This will be achieved by working in close collaboration with the Ministère de la Santé Publique et de la Population (MSPP) both at the central and departmental levels to advance two interrelated objectives: 1. Increase utilization of quality, essential health services in line with the MSPP’s approved Package of Essential Services (PES) at both health care facilities and community levels; and 2. Strengthen local management and operational capacities to deliver health services. Together with USAID’s other investments in Haiti’s health sector, implementation of HSD is expected to incrementally advance the MSPP’s ability to support sustained delivery of quality primary health care services. It is important to note that the MSPP has adopted the RBF model as a national strategy. As such, HSD’s implementation strategy should prioritize the expanded application of tailored RBF approaches to improve the access, utilization and quality of services and to drive performance at all levels of Haiti’s primary health service delivery system. |
