Description: |
Engaging Young Adults with Community-Based Conservation and Recreation Enhancement Projects: Qualified Corps members will support projects and locations where NPS Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA), other NPS programs, and American Youthworks (AYW) have mutual interest. This will include internship opportunities for Corps members interested in developing community planning skills working on projects where RTCA is providing technical assistance. AYW and RTCA staff will also work together to help targeted communities or land managers to organize and plan projects that can be carried out by service corps crews, and work with partners to identify and secure funding to support crew placement. We will strive to strengthen partnerships between AYW and NPS park managers and help NPS park managers to identify and secure resources to support service corps activities. |
