Description: |
PAS Kabul invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal for implementing debates on key issues to prepare the Afghan population for the upcoming elections while also encouraging all citizens to exercise their rights of civic participation. The recipient will be responsible for producing and broadcasting twelve live Pashto-language debate shows over the course of twelve months. The debates should each be one hour in length and focus on key issues in the upcoming elections, the electoral process in Afghanistan, and rule of law as it relates to the electoral process. Episodes will be filmed live in front of a studio audience (100 or more) and should incorporate a format in which an expert panel debates the topic of the show, the in-studio audience participates, and viewers and listeners submit questions and comments. The recipient will be responsible for ensuring that the programs are aired on television as well as radio. PAS intends to issue an award for a period of 12 months (base period) with options for two additional 12 month periods (option periods one and two). |
