Description: |
This FOA will provide precise national and sub-national HIV incidence estimates, subnational HIV prevalence estimates, and measure baseline national HIV viral suppression level in order to more strategically monitor HIV program outcomes, impact and more effectively describe and characterize the HIV epidemic in Nigeria. Accurate, quality data will also aid in monitoring progress towards achieving UNAIDS/PEPFAR goal of testing 90 percent of people living with HIV (PLHIV), placing 90 percent of those on treatment and achieving viral suppression in 90 percent of those on treatment. The awarded partner will implement data collection activities on the uptake of HIV care and treatment services, provide real-time home-based HIV Testing Services (HTS), estimate HIV prevalence, incidence and population viral load. The goal of the NAIS is to provide better understanding of national and sub-national epidemic trends, improve and target appropriate interventions and evaluate the National HIV/AIDS response. |
