Description:The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a cooperative agreement to Ducks Unlimited Inc. under the authority of Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) 15.512, P.L. 102-575 Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Sec. 3406 (d) Fish, Wildlife, Improved Water Management & Conservation, and 3407 (e) Restoration Fund. Total amount of agreement is $870,000 with Reclamation providing $122,000 in Federal Funds. The proposed lift station will provide a reliable water supply to the refuge’s wetland units when gravity conveyance is not possible, especially during the critical fall flood-up period. The elevation of the existing Sutter NWR gravity diversion does not allow for consistent water delivery. This will improve habitat conditions for waterfowl and all the other major bird groups. (Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No.BOR-MP-17-N026 for additional information). A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance agreement based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2.14 (B)(4) is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Questions concerning this announcement should be directed to Leanne Henderson, Grants Management Specialist, by email at lhenderson@usbr.gov.
