Description: |
The purpose of this program is to improve the ability of PCPs, especially those in rural and medically underserved areas, to screen, assess, manage, and refer to specialty care, obstetric patients struggling with alcohol use during pregnancy and pediatric patients and their families affected by FASD, respectively. The recipient will use a variety of models to train and support PCPs, including telehealth approaches, such as tele-consultation, tele-mentoring, and Project ECHO. This may include other HRSA-funded programs. Trainings will incorporate, curate and build on existing virtual trainings, tools and resources developed by federal agencies such as CDC, and national professional associations and stakeholders, to create and sustain practice and behavior change among trained PCPs. |
