THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities:Spindle City Corps youth programs provide hands-on service opportunities that help develop a generation of skilled workers, educated and active citizens, future leaders and stewards of natural, historical and cultural resources. Youth participants are empowered to share their stories, encourage members of the underserved communities to share their voices and educate the general public about Lowell’s culturally diverse communities. The projects performed pursuant to this Agreement will provide opportunities for youth to learn about the environment, cultural resources and historical preservation by working on projects in local conservation areas and other Boston Area national park and to gain job skills through hands-on experience |
