Description: |
The purpose of the NOFO is to strengthen CARPHA’s communicable disease surveillance mechanisms; diagnostic testing capacity, and preparedness and response capability in order to promote and enhance the systems of prevention, detection and response for public health events and events of significant health security. Achievement markers will be 1) National and regional capacity developed and strengthened to analyze and link data across surveillance systems to include epidemiological and laboratory data, to track disease introduction and spread; 2) Improved laboratory capacity for effective diagnosis to contain outbreaks of COVID-19 and other communicable and non-communicable diseases; 2) Strengthened outbreak resoponse capacity to coordinte an early response to PHEICs and enhanced ability of CARPHA to provide technical assistance including rapid response teams |
