The purpose of the Primary Care Training and Enhancement – Physician Assistant (PCTE- PA) Program is to increase the number of primary care physician assistants (PA) in rural and/or underserved areas, and encourage program graduates to choose primary care careers in these areas. The program includes faculty development and training of rural preceptors. This program is being re-competed to meet the 15% legislative requirement to physician assistants.
