The Primary Care Dental Faculty Development Program K02 program strengthens the primary care oral health workforce by training and supporting dental faculty who teach primary care dentistry (general dentistry, pediatric dentistry or dental public health). This program would supportsupports the development of Primary Care Dental faculty to better enable them to sustain academic careers through their development as clinician educators; enable them to be seen as national experts in oral health; allow them to create and implement innovative curricula into pre-doctoral and post-doctoral training focused on caring for underserved and vulnerable populations, and through these efforts increase the integration of primary care within the dental school culture.
