Description: |
The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases intends to promote a new initiative by publishing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to invite applications for Institutional Network Awards for Research Training (U2C/TL1). The purpose of these awards is to cultivate a highly integrated cohort of trainees and early career investigators and to develop career development resources in order to accelerate kidney, urologic, and hematologic research. To maximize integration and promote a true trainee community, institutions are invited to submit a single, unified U2C/TL1 application to engage, recruit, prepare, and sustain the next generation of kidney, urology, and hematology researchers. Applications covering a single metropolitan area are strongly encouraged. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The FOA is expected to be published in Spring 2020 with an expected application due date in Fall 2020. This FOA will utilize the U2C/TL1 activity code. Details of the planned FOA are provided below. |
