Description:The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) intends to renew an initiative by publishing a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to solicit applications for Administrative Resources – Cooperative Agreements (U24) to provide administrative support to collaborative research projects (U01) and research resource cores (U24) as part of a Consortium on the Integrative Neuroscience Initiative on Alcoholism (INIA). The goal of INIA is to investigate brain mechanisms of excessive alcohol drinking and related phenotypes associated with alcohol use disorder (AUD). This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The FOA is expected to be published in Summer/Fall 2020 with an expected application due date in Winter/Spring 2021. This FOA will utilize the U24 activity code. Details of the planned FOA are provided below.
