Description:The Office of Strategic Coordination (Common Fund) intends to publish a funding opportunity announcement (FOA) to solicit applications for Phase II of the of the Enhancing the Diversity of the NIH-Funded Workforce Program. This program, known as the Diversity Program Consortium (DPC), consists of three integrated initiatives: Building Infrastructure Leading to Diversity (BUILD), the National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) and the Center for Evaluation and Coordination (CEC). This new initiative of the DPC will focus on developing the institutional infrastructure necessary to provide efficient, consistent, and responsive service for sponsored programs administration. NIH intends that institutions not currently part of the DPC will have the opportunity to apply for funds to establish Offices of Sponsored Programs (OSPs) or enhance the services of existing OSPs or similar entities at domestic institutions of higher learning. Domestic program priorities include emerging research institutions and primarily undergraduate institutions, including women's colleges, that have underrepresented student enrollment and that meet the eligibility requirements. This Notice is being provided to allow the applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive applications. The FOA will utilize the G11 activity code. Details of the planned FOA are provided below.
