Description: |
The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism (NIAAA) intends to publish Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) to solicit applications from current awardees and new applicants to continue the previously funded “Collaborative Initiative on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders” (CIFASD). Responsive applications are expected 1) to address urgent and important unmet needs in the fetal alcohol spectrum disorders (FASD) field in the areas of diagnosis/case identification, intervention, basic and mechanistic studies, and prevention; 2) to use integrated and multidisciplinary research approaches and leverage multiple cohorts of individuals with FASD. This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The FOA is expected to be published in Spring 2021 with an expected application due date in Summer 2021. This FOA will utilize the U24 Clinical Trial Not Allowed activity code. Details of the planned FOA are provided below. |
