Description: |
The National Human Genome Research Institute intends to issue a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) to solicit applications to support a Coordinating Center for Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) Methods and Analysis for Populations of Diverse Ancestry. The intended FOA will be based on a concept recently approved by the National Advisory Council on Human Genome Research and accompanying discussion (https://www.genome.gov/sites/default/files/media/files/2019-09/Sept2019_Council_Hindorff_PolygenicRiskScore_RFA_Concept.pdf and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x0-hw7DoOQU). This Notice is being provided to allow potential applicants sufficient time to develop meaningful collaborations and responsive projects. The FOA is expected to be published in January, 2020 with an expected application due date in Summer, 2020. This FOA will utilize the U01 activity code. Details of the planned FOA are provided below. |
