Description: |
Notice of Intent to award a cooperative agreement to the Pennsylvania Dept. of Conservation and Natural Resources, Pennsylvania Geological Survey, in support of the project entitled " Digital Bedrock Topographic and Drift Thickness Maps and Glacial Stratigraphy of the Slippery Rock 7.5-Minute Quadrangle, Butler, Mercer, and Lawrence Counties, Northwestern Pennsylvania". The main objective of this agreement is to produce a digital geologic map of bedrock topography and drift thickness for the Slippery Rock 7.5-minute quadrangle in Butler, Lawrence, and Mercer Counties, in both as GIS and raster format. These maps will eventually be released as PaGS Open-File reports, and will be available for free from the PaGS website. A borehole log and sampling results along with an interpretation of sediments will be completed as part of the deliverables. |
