Additional Information on Eligibility:Eligible applicants include public, non-profit, and for profit entities, including health departments, state and local governments, community health centers, hospitals, medical centers, colleges and universities, faith-based and community-based organizations, and Tribes and tribal organizations.

Applicants must have two to three (2 – 3) years of experience training PLWH of color in leadership and planning, and must demonstrate capacity to recruit, train and collaborate with organizations that focus on all target populations to be trained.

Description:This announcement solicits applications for the fiscal year (FY) 2016 Leadership Training for People of Color Living with HIV program. This program supports the development and delivery of training programs for people of color living with HIV of all ages (e.g., Black, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian/Alaskan Native (AI/AN), and Asian/Pacific Islander (API)) to enable full, active and engaged participation on planning bodies, medical and support care teams, boards of directors, and other mobilization efforts to address the goals of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy: Updated to 2020 (NHAS 2020). To address the need for an increased focus on transgender women, this project will also support national leadership training for transgender women of color living with HIV. Through the involvement of people of color living with HIV who are informed and trained in HIV service planning, the HIV care continuum, and HIV service delivery systems of care, the project will expand the capacity of the HIV prevention and care service delivery system, including Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) providers, governmental agencies, and planning entities, to respond to social and structural barriers to HIV prevention and treatment in their communities. Funding will be provided in the form of a cooperative agreement to support one (1) organization for up to three (3) years.
