Description: |
Recurring infectious disease outbreaks, Nigeria’s population, inadequate allocation to healthcare in annual appropriations, inadequate surveillance, weakened or non-existent health infrastructure and systems and poor coordination among stakeholder agencies have all contributed to the weaknesses highlighted in the JEE. This impacts on the country’s preparedness to respond to public health emergencies. The purpose of this NOFO is to provide technical assistance and support the ability of the NPHI to implement programs focusing on protecting and improving health through addressing the gaps and weaknesses identified in the JEE. |
