The collaborative research should use The National Map geospatial data sources including the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS), National Hydrography Dataset (NHD), National Boundaries Dataset (NBD), National Structures Dataset (NSD), and other sources used by The National Map to demonstrate dual-language translation processes and efficient dual-language map labeling techniques compatible with the Dynamic Mapping Product-on-Demand (PoD) environment and to evaluate cartographic dual-language label treatment options.
