Section 1003 of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. § 300a-1) authorizes funding for grants and contracts to support training for personnel working in Title X-funded service projects, to ensure personnel working in Title X family planning services projects have the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to deliver high-quality family planning services. In FY2021, OPA announces the anticipated availability of funds to support a national clinical training center for family planning. The awardee will be responsible for: providing training and technical assistance to enhance and ensure the delivery of high quality family planning clinical services throughout the Title X system; providing training focused on implementing evidence-based clinical practice guidance and nationally recognized standards of care and focusing on training of family planning clinical providers regarding these training activities; establishing and implementing clinical quality measures which reflect evidence-based practice and nationally recognized standards of care as well as the family planning and reproductive health field; developing additional clinical support tools to improve the delivery of family planning services; and conducting national clinical continuing education conferences on topics relevant to Title X clinical services. |
