Description: |
The U.S. Embassy in Yaounde-Cameroon, Political and Economic Section is seeking proposals for projects that will advance human rights and fundamental freedoms by supporting local organizations’ efforts to promote human rights systems, policies, and protection. In addition, it seeks projects that will advance citizen engagement to hold governments accountable, to participate in economic, political, governing, and other critical processes aimed at creating more peaceful, democratic, and pluralistic societies; promote citizen engagement in local decision-making processes, such as through participatory budgeting processes and public-private dialogue for economic development priorities. Note: The U.S. Embassy expects to receive funding for the ARDF program before September 30, 2021. Grant awards are contingent on the receipt of funding. If the program is not approved, no grants will be awarded under this call. |
